The U.S. virtual embassy for Iran has warned citizens of this country on Sunday, September 20 / September 29, through an urgent notice, saying: “Due to existing tensions in the Middle East, the security situation remains complex and there is a possibility of an unexpected escalation of tensions. American citizens who are currently in the Middle East should be more vigilant and prepare for the possibility of flights being canceled, airspace closures, and travel disruptions.”

At the end of this notice, it adds: “Do not travel to Iran for any reason. U.S. citizens should leave Iran now.”

In the past year, the U.S. State Department has issued similar warnings to its citizens in West Asia and countries involved in the war between the United States and Israel against Iran, and asked Americans to reconsider travel to this region and take the necessary precautions.
