🔸The U.S. president says that what has caused the increase in diesel prices is no longer connected to the Strait of Hormuz, because, according to him, unprecedented amounts of oil are now being taken out of this waterway almost daily.
🔸Donald Trump on Monday, Mehr 13, published a message on his social network Truth Social in which he linked the rise in diesel prices to “refineries” and wrote: “Russian refineries are being targeted by Ukraine, and our refineries, which in blue states (Democrat-run) like California are shut down by ‘stupid Democrats.’”
🔸The U.S. president’s reference is to reports released in recent days about an increase in the amount of oil leaving the Strait of Hormuz.
🔸Kpler, a global shipping monitor, on Mehr 13 said that its data shows that Middle East oil exports, excluding Iran, over the past week have exceeded the pre-war level despite attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
🔸Despite the increased amount of oil leaving the Strait of Hormuz, global oil prices have remained in the range of $100 per barrel.
