🔸CENTCOM, the U.S. Central Command, early on Wednesday Iran time announced that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched several ballistic missiles from Iran as part of an attempt to carry out a surprise attack on U.S. forces deployed in the Middle East, and all of these missiles were intercepted.

🔸Earlier, the Axios website had reported that Iran on Tuesday fired several ballistic missiles toward a U.S. military base in Jordan.

🔸In his Wednesday interview, the U.S. president also said that the overnight U.S. attacks on Iran-backed militia forces in Iraq were carried out in coordination with the Iraqi government.
