U.S. President Donald Trump, in an interview with Time magazine that was published on Thursday, the ninth of Mehr, said that he “may” intensify airstrikes against Iran after the U.S. midterm election.
In response to the question of whether he is considering this, the U.S. president said: “I can’t tell you that, because you’re asking where you’re going to bomb?”
He also emphasized that the Islamic Republic wants a deal, but that he intends to reach a real agreement.
In the interview, the U.S. president said: “After bombing Iran’s nuclear facilities, I could have stopped, but I felt it wasn’t appropriate, because they were impatiently wanting to continue with what they were doing. If not there, then somewhere else.”
Trump also added: “So I went further, because I didn’t want them to come back in a different way.”
In response to a question about his previous remarks that he might destroy Iran, the U.S. president said: “Yes, I will do it. It might.”
