According to anonymous diplomatic and security sources, the U.S. Central Command, CENTCOM, is monitoring contacts between Saudi Arabia and Israel regarding the growing threat posed by the Houthis.

The Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom reported that the purpose of these contacts is to share Israeli information with Saudi Arabia—information that could help Riyadh defend itself against Houthi attacks. Based on this report, Mohammad bin Salman, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, asked for Israeli assistance via CENTCOM.

The sources cited by Israel Hayom also said that in addition to Israel, Saudi Arabia has contacted other Gulf states and Egypt.
