🔸U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that due to the “successful clearance” of mines on the main routes of the Strait of Hormuz by this force, the waterway is open.

🔸However, the command emphasized that free passage through the Strait of Hormuz remains available for vessels that do not “violate” the U.S. maritime sanctions against Iran.

🔸CENTCOM wrote on X on Friday, 17 Mehr: “As a result, thousands of commercial vessels have transited this strait with full safety.”

🔸Ship traffic in the Strait of Hormuz has been severely disrupted since the start of the Iran-U.S. war in Esfand of last year, due to military attacks and threats and the restrictions imposed.

🔸Although attacks on some ships in the Strait of Hormuz have continued in recent weeks, reports indicate an increase in the transfer of energy cargoes since late July, including by using tankers protected by the U.S. Navy to transfer oil from the Persian Gulf to ships waiting outside the strait.

🔸In recent days, U.S. officials have repeatedly stressed the increased movement of tankers and energy exports from the region.
