The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said that on Saturday, 18 Mehr, American forces targeted and disabled a commercial cargo ship flying the Panama flag in the Sea of Oman. The action was carried out after the ship’s crew ignored CENTCOM’s repeated warnings and attempted to pass through a maritime blockade against the Islamic Republic.
