🔸U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said that U.S. forces disabled a commercial cargo ship in the Sea of Oman on Saturday, 18 Mehr.

🔸According to CENTCOM, the crew ignored repeated warnings and tried to violate a naval blockade imposed against Iran.

🔸Based on a CENTCOM statement, a U.S. fighter jet, using precision-guided munitions, disabled the ship’s aft section named “Ocean Mollica,” which was operating under a Panamanian flag with the name “Arika Sun.”

🔸CENTCOM says the attack completely disabled the ship’s propulsion system and that its crew was not harmed.

🔸After leaving one of Iran’s ports, the cargo ship was transiting through regional waters.

🔸CENTCOM says the United States has resumed the blockade on ships that enter or depart Iranian ports as of 23 Tir 1405.

🔸According to CENTCOM’s statement, over the past three months, four commercial ships have been disabled and 135 ships have been forced to return.

🔸The U.S. Central Command also announced that during the same period it destroyed 10 oil tankers associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ financial network.
