🔻Two years after the pager explosions in Lebanon; wounds that have still not healed

Sare Jafal, a young Lebanese woman, says: “The most basic right of every human being is to live in peace and safety in their home. I was living at ease and safely in my home, until Israel, by pressing a button, decided to take that security away from me.”

She recalls with these words the day, two years ago, that permanently changed her life—a day that has never ended for her, and that irrevocably altered the course of her life and her future.

As the second anniversary of the explosions of pager devices in Lebanon arrives, an unprecedented medical and humanitarian case has once again come to the forefront.
