🔶 Two Israeli army soldiers killed by an explosive device in southern Lebanon
The Israeli army on Thursday, August 6 (15 Mordad), announced that on Wednesday, during a combat mission in southern Lebanon, an explosion caused by an explosive device inside a booby-trapped house killed two of its soldiers and left four others severely wounded.
The Rambam medical center said on Thursday morning that the condition of the four injured soldiers is critical.
The two soldiers killed were targeted by an explosive device during an inspection operation in the settlement of “Majdal Zon” in southern Lebanon. After the Hezbollah forces withdrew in March, the area had previously not been inspected by the Israeli army.
The Israeli army described the explosion as an “open violation” of the ceasefire, targeting arms depots and ammunition command centers in southern Lebanon, and issued evacuation warnings for the settlement of Mansouri at the same time.
