Two earthquakes measuring 3.9 and 3.5 on the Richter scale shook areas near Sardasht and Laft in Hormozgan province on Tuesday afternoon, 13 Mordad.
According to a report from the National Seismological Center of the Geophysics Institute of the University of Tehran, the first earthquake occurred at 16:10 near Sardasht in Hormozgan province.
This earthquake was recorded with a magnitude of 3.9 on the Richter scale at a depth of 22 kilometers. Its epicenter was located 41 kilometers from Sardasht, 53 kilometers from Gohran, and 59 kilometers from Bandar Jask. It was also announced that its distance to Bandar Abbas, the nearest provincial center, was 177 kilometers.
The second earthquake also occurred at 16:22 near Laft, in the border area of Qeshm Island, the Persian Gulf, and the Hara forests.
