Trump questions UK decision to release five airbase plot suspects

US President Donald Trump says he would not have released five people detained in the UK over an alleged plot targeting a US-used airbase.

Trump said the case “might be” connected to Iran but declined to provide further details, saying he knew the answer but would rather not disclose it.

British police said the five British men were arrested over an apparent plot to attack RAF Fairford, which houses US bombers.
