🔶 Trump: Nothing will reach Iran unless we want it
Donald Trump, the U.S. president, on Monday, August 3, in a message on the social media platform Truth Social, described Iran’s leadership as “extremely two-faced,” and claimed that Iranian officials are not being honest about the status of negotiations between Tehran and Washington.
Trump wrote: “Iran’s leadership is unbelievably two-faced. They ask for a meeting; some even say they’re begging. Negotiations begin and more sessions are planned in the near future, but then, with pride and openly, they say that there is no dialogue underway, nothing has been raised, and that they are only negotiating with Oman.”
The American president also added: “Nothing will reach Iran unless we want it, and nothing will happen unless an agreement is reached or there is complete capitulation.”
Trump further rejected the Islamic Republic’s claim about controlling the Strait of Hormuz, and said: “They, as usual, claim that they will run the Strait of Hormuz with force, while this waterway is currently fully controlled by the U.S. Navy and under our naval blockade.”
