🔶 Trump: Midterm elections will have no impact on the U.S. approach in the war with Iran
Donald Trump, the U.S. president, says that the upcoming midterm elections in this country will have no effect on his approach in the war with Iran.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, October 12, about the possibility that the November 3, 2026 election could affect his decisions regarding Iran, Trump said: “No, it has no effect.”
In this election, seats in the House of Representatives, the Senate, and a number of governorship positions in state governments will be up for election.
The U.S. president also told reporters that he has spoken with Mohammed bin Salman, the country’s crown prince, about the recent deadly attacks by the Houthis on Saudi Arabia, and when asked about the Houthis, said: “They’re behaving very badly; it’s not at all good.”
He once again repeated his previous prediction about the imminent end of the war with Iran and a drop in oil prices, and added: “As soon as the war with Iran is over, which will be very soon, the price of oil will crash down like a stone. This war will be over very soon.”
