🔺Trump expresses doubts about granting a license to produce Patriot missiles for Ukraine

▪Donald Trump, president of the United States, says he is not sure that he will issue a permit to produce the intercepting missiles of the Patriot air defense system for Ukraine.

▪In an interview with the Financial Times, he said the White House is reviewing the matter, but “this is an absolutely extraordinary weapon and we have to be a bit cautious about who we grant licenses to.”

▪Trump’s remarks came just two days after his meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky, president of Ukraine, at the White House. Zelensky described the meeting as “good” and said that the two sides had discussed “the production of Patriot interceptor missiles and some other ideas.”

▪He said Trump “agreed to provide the licenses to us.”
