🔻Tractor CEO calls for change in conscription law due to Alireza Beiranvand: “In some fields like chess, athletes who manage to win medals are granted exemption for the champion soldier, but players like Beiranvand, who have brought honor to Iranian football, are not eligible for this.”
🔹Hojjat Karimi, in an interview that Tractor Club published, referring to Alireza Beiranvand’s presence in three World Cup tournaments, said: “He has been present in three World Cup tournaments and has brought honor to our country’s football, and he should be supported. But unfortunately, the conscription exemption for champion soldiers does not apply to him. I believe this issue requires a review of the laws, and we will continue our follow-ups in this regard.”
🔹Late last night, Tasnim News Agency, citing Brigadier General Zahedi, Deputy of the General Conscription Affairs, wrote that “Alireza Beiranvand will become a conscript starting from Mehr 1405 and will no longer be able to play for Tractor.” The status of Alireza Beiranvand’s conscription in recent years has been one of the ambiguities and controversies in Iranian football.
