Toyota Motor will deploy approximately 40,000 humanoid robots across its global factories to work alongside employees as part of a modernization effort launching in 2028, the Nikkei newspaper reported.
According to the paper, the annual investment in plant upgrades will total one trillion yen (nearly $6.4 billion), integrating these devices into production processes to boost efficiency.
The Japanese company stated that the robots are designed to optimize employee productivity by independently learning and determining the best way to perform tasks.
