🔸 The White House, in response to the report of the UN’s independent fact-finding committee, described the Iranian government as “the only party to the dispute that has committed war crimes.”

🔸 The UN independent fact-finding committee on Iran had said in a report on Thursday, 26 Shahrivar, that “there are reasonable grounds to believe that the United States committed war crimes during two airstrikes in Minab and Larestan that killed at least 178 civilians, including women and children.”

🔸 Ana Kelly, one of the White House spokespersons, said in response to the report: “The only party that committed war crimes in this dispute is the Iranian regime; a regime that has killed thousands of its own people, killed Americans abroad, carried out terrorist acts in the Strait of Hormuz, and launched indiscriminate and blind attacks against its neighbors in the region.”

🔸 The latest report of the UN independent fact-finding committee also, while referring to the deadly crackdown on the protests of Dey 1404, concluded that many instances of repression constitute grave violations and are instances of crimes against humanity.
