The editorial board of The Wall Street Journal, in a note titled “Trump’s latest deal with Iran,” wrote that Donald Trump has once again refrained from escalating military action against the Islamic Republic, without providing clear details of the possible agreement.
In a critical tone, the note says that after stopping Trump’s latest decision to attack the Islamic Republic, someone as a nuisance has joked that, so far, Trump has “eight times” brought an end to a war with the Iranian government, and now it remains to be seen whether this time, his ninth attempt, will succeed or not.
The Wall Street Journal also refers to a message from Trump on Truth Social, in which he claimed that Iran and some Middle Eastern countries had wanted the attack to be postponed, and that a framework for the agreement has been formed that includes the immediate and full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and an end to the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program. The newspaper emphasizes that Trump has not yet published more details about this possible agreement.
