🔶 The United States sets a $15 million reward for information about three IRGC commanders
The U.S. Department of State, in the early hours of Wednesday, October 8 (September 30), has set rewards of up to $15 million for information about three senior officials of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Aerospace Force. Ali Asghar Norouzi, Abdullah Mohrabi, and Ahmad Ja’farabadi are the three individuals named in the “Rewards for Justice” program notice.
The U.S. Department of State says the IRGC Aerospace Force is responsible for developing Iran’s weapons systems, producing and deploying Iran’s drones and missiles, as well as providing other equipment needed by the IRGC.
The IRGC has been listed by the United States and several other countries as a “Foreign Terrorist Organization.”
The “Rewards for Justice” program also announced that individuals who have information about these three officials, the financial mechanisms of the IRGC Aerospace Force, or individuals, entities, and activities related to it, can contact this program through the communication channels introduced, including the “Signal” messenger and the browser-based system “Tor.” Providing qualifying information can lead to receiving a reward and assistance for relocating the individual.
The move was carried out at the same time as the U.S. Treasury Department’s sanctions on 10 individuals and entities in several countries. Washington says these individuals and entities played a role in supplying weapons, parts, and technology for the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Ministry of Defense and its military procurement networks.
