🔸The United States imposed sanctions on 6 entities and individuals linked to Mahan Air and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps
The United States imposed new sanctions on Thursday, July 30 (August 8), against the global support network of “Mahan Air.” Washington says the Iranian airline company facilitates the transfer of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces, as well as weapons and drones.
According to information published by the U.S. Treasury Department (OFAC), the sanctions target six entities and individuals in China, India, Russia, and Iran who operated as part of support networks for Mahan Air and the IRGC.
A large portion of this list includes companies that acted abroad as general sales agent (General Sales Agent) or as an executive broker for Mahan Air.
These companies were responsible for services such as booking tickets and freight transportation (Freight Booking), providing financial and administrative services, and settling Mahan Air’s commercial accounts on international routes.
