The Times of Israel reported that Naftali Bennett, former Israeli prime minister, said there is a direct connection between Benjamin Netanyahu’s actions and the rearmament of Hamas in Gaza.
Bennett said in Nativ Ha’asara, near the Gaza border, that Hamas “has restored its capabilities” and that while “the Israeli government has effectively abandoned Gaza,” Qatar, which “had been funding Hamas’s elite force,” has resumed its role and now “a Hamasistan is once again taking shape before our eyes.”
He said Hamas has rebuilt its command system, appointed company, battalion, and brigade commanders, and has again become equipped with long-range rockets, drones, and advanced weaponry.
Bennett added that Hamas is once again digging tunnels and “is now training for the next massacre.”
