The Supreme Council for Coordination of Communications Workers’ Organizations, in a statement, while supporting the lawful demands of retirees, announced that the only way out of the current crisis is to stop coercive confrontations and return management to the path of dialogue.

According to ILNA, in its statement, the council, referring to the economic conditions of both employed and retired personnel, said that economic pressures have affected the livelihoods of workers’ families, especially those of retirees.

The statement urged the managers of Telecommunications to, instead of making decisions “in secret,” take the path of interaction and dialogue with representatives of labor and retirees’ organizations; to stop “violent atmosphere-making and coercive confrontations”; and to return to the framework of law.

The gathering of “Monday protest meetings of Telecommunications retirees” has been held regularly since 1402 in different parts of the country, during which Telecommunications retirees raise their livelihood demands, which have so far gone unanswered.
