🔸The President of the Russian Federation says he hopes that the Strait of Hormuz will be opened for the passage and traffic of ships, and that, ultimately, the sanctions against Iran will be lifted.
🔸Vladimir Putin, who spoke on Thursday evening, the 9th of Mehr, at the Russian Association of Experts, emphasized that Moscow’s proposal to transfer and store Iran’s enriched uranium remains on the table.
🔸The Russian president said that at first, both Iranians and Americans and Israelis were in favor of implementing this idea and transferring Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium to Russia. But then, “Washington made the issue harder and demanded that Iran’s uranium be sent only to the United States.”
🔸It seems that Putin’s remarks about “Washington taking a tougher stance” are referring to this very issue.
🔸According to Putin, following this change in position by the Trump administration, Tehran adopted a more inflexible stance as well.
