🔸 The New York Times reported that, based on confidential information it says was provided to it by a Western security official, Iran fires dozens of drones and missiles away from public view each week toward commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz, and most of them miss their targets.

🔸 According to this report, published on Friday, Mehr 10, Iran has been carrying out about 30 drone attacks per week and 10 attacks with anti-ship missiles against commercial ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz since the beginning of August (mid-Mordad).

🔸 According to a security official whose name has not been disclosed, in the past 10 days at least four commercial ships have been targeted by Iran’s attacks.

🔸 Earlier, on Wednesday, the spokesperson for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said on Iran’s official television: “For quite some time we have been hitting the small ships that want to pass through and preventing them from passing, but America has not been responding for some time.”
