The New York Times reported that with fresh attacks in several Middle Eastern countries, the war between the United States and the Islamic Republic has entered a new phase. According to this report, the Islamic Republic launched missile attacks on U.S. military bases in Jordan and on oil tankers, while at the same time American and Saudi warplanes targeted positions of forces aligned with the Islamic Republic in Iraq.
Donald Trump, the president of the United States, called the missile attack on U.S. bases in Jordan “surprising” and said Washington will also respond to the drone attack in Egypt. At the same time, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the country is not seeking to escalate tensions, but will respond to any attack.
