The Israeli army said its forces killed a commander from Hamas’s military wing who, according to the army, infiltrated Israeli territory in the attacks on Mehr 15, 1402.

In a post on the X network, the Israeli army said his name was Mohammad Soliman Byuk and that he was killed on Thursday in an attack on the area of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

Based on the army’s announcement, Byuk had spent much of the war deploying explosives across Gaza to target Israeli soldiers.

The Israeli army added that he was planning attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians and was working to rebuild Hamas’s capabilities—an action described as a “systematic violation of the ceasefire.”

The killing of Byuk is the third case announced by the Israeli army within a week.
