The Houthis said they targeted the Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia. Yahya Saria, a spokesman for the Houthis’ military, said on the X network that the ballistic missile was “precise and direct and caused disruptions to air traffic at the airport.”

He added: “Once again, we warn all airlines in the world about the consequences of continuing flights in Saudi Arabia’s airspace, because this country has become a stage for our military operations.”

The attack came after attacks on the evenings of Monday to the airports of Jazan and Najran. Saudi Arabia’s Civil Aviation Authority said that three people were injured in those attacks and that limited damage was done.

In recent days, the Houthis have claimed responsibility for attacks on Aramco facilities in Riyadh and the Khurais area, as well as Riyadh’s main airport.
