🔸The German weekly “WirtschaftsWoche” reported on Thursday, 16 Mehr, that Iran’s intelligence services are seeking to target U.S. military facilities in Germany, including the Ramstein and Spangdahlem air bases.
🔸The report, citing several Western intelligence officials whose names have not been disclosed, adds that Israel three weeks ago warned its American and German partners about a possible threat.
🔸The concerns are primarily focused on bases that support U.S. military operations and logistics related to the war against Iran.
🔸Reuters says that Iran and Israel’s embassies in Berlin did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the matter.
🔸Germany’s Ministry of Defense also declined to comment.
🔸The spokesperson for U.S. European Command said: “It’s not appropriate to discuss intelligence matters, and we will not comment on specific reports of threats or force-protection actions. U.S. European Command remains vigilant and continuously assesses the security situation across the European theater.”
