The annual Islamic Republic trip to New York has begun: flight, hotel, a speech, a few meetings, and a photo op next to the flag. At the end of the trip, we will probably hear the familiar line again: “The talks were useful and constructive.”

But people’s question is simpler: what is our share in this trip? Will tensions be reduced? Will a decision be made that affects people’s lives? Or will the delegation return with a suitcase full of photos and statements, and the bill be left for the people?
