Taraaneh and Romina Rahimi, two sisters detained in anti-government protests in Iran in Dey, have made it onto the shortlist of three final nominees for the Sakharov Prize of the European Parliament. Taraaneh has been sentenced to death and Romina to 25 years in prison. The winner of the prize will be announced on October 22.
