🔺Takaychi: Calming the situation as quickly as possible is important
▪Japan’s prime minister said she told Masoud Pezeshkian that “it is important to calm the situation as quickly as possible.” Sanae Takaychi and Masoud Pezeshkian discussed the war and the Strait of Hormuz in their fourth phone call on Wednesday.
▪Based on a report by Japan’s Fuji News Network, Takaychi said it is necessary for the United States and the Islamic Republic to continue negotiations based on the contents of the memorandum of understanding and reach a final agreement as soon as possible, including on the nuclear issue.
▪Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, she called for guarantees for the security of navigation in a way that does not result in additional costs. Takaychi also called for the swift resolution of the case of a Japanese national who has been detained in Iran.
