Susan Sarandon says she is still missing out on film roles because of her support for Palestine.

At the Venice Film Festival, she said:

“Even the new ones, they have taken films from me because agencies tell people not to hire me.”

She added that “There are still Zionists in my industry who haven’t softened their feelings toward me.”

She thanked the director of her new film for ignoring warnings about not re-hiring her.

In November 2023, after speaking at a pro-Palestine rally, Sarandon was fired by her talent agency.
