〰Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ismail Baghaei:
The Qatari government, in an official document submitted to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), has confirmed that Iran’s defensive attacks against U.S. forces stationed on Qatar’s soil “were directed toward U.S. military facilities. […] No civilian area was targeted.”
The only exception Qatar claims is the attack on a gas facility on March 18. However, it should be noted that the facilities hit that day served the U.S. military invasion of Iran.
This is in stark contrast to the United States’ long track record of deliberate attacks on civilian targets—including schools, hospitals, residential neighborhoods, wedding ceremonies, bridges, and more.
There is a huge difference between a civilization-building nation that has learned the importance of adhering to ethical and humanitarian principles even in the hardest conditions, and war-mongering rulers who, in exercising power, do not observe any law or ethics.
