❌— Reuters analysis suggests that an American munition directly struck the site of a wedding ceremony in Khouhestak, southern Iran.

Four weapons experts have confirmed that the damage patterns match an explosion on the roof or at a height above it. One of the experts also suggested the munition could have been a 500-pound air-dropped bomb.

U.S. officials responsible have denied responsibility for the direct hit to the wedding site and said their target was a communications tower located 135 meters away.

U.S. officials are investigating whether the casualties were caused by the U.S. attack itself, the re-impact of an Iranian air-defense missile, or the accidental launch of an interceptor missile.

Iranian media have reported five deaths and around 70 injuries.
