Spain’s prime minister: The widespread arrival of migrants to Ceuta is a «violation and attack on Spain’s territorial integrity»
Pedro Sánchez, Spain’s prime minister, on Friday, the ninth of Mordad, condemned the widespread arrival of migrants to Ceuta, a region under this country’s sovereignty in North Africa, as a «violation and an attack on Spain’s territorial integrity.»
Sánchez, after the recent wave of migrants crossing from Morocco into Ceuta, condemned the move and stressed that the Spanish government will defend its sovereignty and its borders.
According to Agence France-Presse, in recent days about 49,000 migrants have entered this region. According to the Spanish police, many migrants have been able to enter Ceuta by swimming around a small border barrier that reaches the Mediterranean Sea.
