🔻The SpaceX rocket, which after a test flight from Texas landed in the Indian Ocean on July 24 (5 Tir), has been seen unexpectedly near Christmas Island.

David Watchorn, head of the Christmas Island Tourism Association, said that at first, while going to work, he thought it was a ship, but later realized that what he was seeing was “a space rocket.”

The 52-meter rocket has drawn a lot of attention from local residents, to the point that some “sneak out of work” to watch it, and others prepare their boats to see its remains up close.

Watchorn told the BBC: “It’s incredible to think what this rocket has been through.”

He says: “The more you look at it, the more fascinating it becomes.”
