🔸 Ship traffic in the Strait of Hormuz reached a “lowest level in the past week”

Data on maritime transport shows that the number of vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday, 11 August (20 Mordad), reached its lowest level in the past week. Reuters, citing the ship-tracking firm Kepler, reported that on Tuesday only eight ships transited through the waterway, which is below the daily average of about 12 ships over the past ten days.

According to Kepler, the number of ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz on that day is the lowest recorded since 5 August onward.

Meanwhile, LSEG, in a separate report, said the number of vessels transiting on Tuesday through the Strait of Hormuz was 11, which is three fewer than the day before.

Before the start of U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the route typically saw about 130 to 140 vessels pass through each day.
