🔶 Ship traffic in the Strait of Hormuz has fallen to a minimum

Tracking data from the company “Kpler” shows that traffic across the Strait of Hormuz remains low, and that in Saturday and Sunday combined, about 12 cargo ships passed through the waterway.

According to Kpler, on Sunday, September 20 (29 Shahrivar), four ships—including two tankers and two empty vessels—left the Strait of Hormuz and two small tankers entered the Persian Gulf. On Saturday, five ships carrying agricultural products, LPG gas, and chemical fertilizer left the Persian Gulf, and a large empty ship carrying gas entered the area.

Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of CENTCOM, had announced on Saturday that over the past few months, more than one billion barrels of crude oil from the countries bordering the Persian Gulf had been removed through the Strait of Hormuz with the help of U.S. forces. He said the United States had helped the passage of more than 2,000 commercial ships through the strait and that the main shipping routes in this waterway “have been cleared of mines laid by the Iranians.”

According to reports, producers in the Middle East continue to export their oil on tankers with transmitters turned off.
