🔶 Several Republican organizations request a review of the granting of the Freedom Award to Reza Pahlavi

A number of Republican political groups and organizations that introduce themselves as “Unity for the Republic and Democracy in Iran” have, in an open letter to the officials of Pauluskirche (St. Paul’s Church) and the city of Frankfurt, called for a review of the invitation extended to Prince Reza Pahlavi to receive the 2026 Freedom Award by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom.

In the open letter, signed by several parties, groups, organizations, and civil society entities including the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran, Komala, the Campaign to Defend Political and Civil Prisoners, the Khabbat Organization of Kurdistan Iran, the Women, Life, Freedom network, Belgium, and the Solidarity Network for Human Rights in Iran, Pauluskirche in Frankfurt and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation have been asked to reconsider their decision to accept the 2026 Freedom Award from the people of Iran by Reza Pahlavi.
