🔻Saudi Arabia announced the continuation of Houthi attacks and the response of the coalition led by Riyadh

Lieutenant Colonel Turki Al-Maliki, the official spokesperson of the coalition led by Saudi Arabia, under the title “Supporting the legitimate government of Yemen,” said in a fresh statement that the Houthi militias are continuing their attacks on infrastructure and critical facilities in Saudi Arabia.

This Saudi army commander said on Wednesday, September 9, that the Houthis attacked the cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha, and Jazan with ballistic missiles and suicide drones.

Al-Maliki stressed that the joint forces command of the coalition would respond to these attacks “in a responsible manner” in order to protect Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, infrastructure, and national assets, as well as civilians and civilian facilities.

The statement was issued after a new wave of Houthi attacks on southern Saudi Arabia; attacks that, according to Saudi officials, targeted cities and energy facilities and injured dozens of people.

On Wednesday as well, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs once again denied any military or operational support for the Houthis in Yemen and rejected remarks by Marco Rubio, who had called the Houthis “Iran’s agent.”
