🔶 Saudi Arabia accuses Iran of encouraging the Houthis to intensify attacks
Raed bin Khalid Qarmlī, deputy for public diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, on Thursday (October 15), in a virtual meeting with journalists, accused the Islamic Republic of supporting a new wave of attacks by the Houthis against the country. He said Tehran continues to play a role in equipping and training this group, and supports the escalation of clashes.
According to Agence France-Presse, Qarmlī said in the meeting: “Iran continues, contrary to United Nations Security Council resolutions, to arm, train, and support the Houthi militias.” He added that Saudi officials believe the current stage of the conflict has seen an increase in Houthi attacks, which is carried out through encouragement by the Islamic Republic.
