Sadeq Ameli Larijani, head of Iran’s Expediency Discernment Council, said, with emphasis on the Islamic Republic’s position regarding the Strait of Hormuz, that this waterway will not revert to its previous status.

Ameli Larijani, on Sunday, 18 Mordad 1405, said in an interview with state TV and radio that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic are stationed in the Strait of Hormuz and claimed that “sovereignty over this waterway belongs to the Islamic Republic.”
