Russia, in further tightening control over the digital space, accused Pavel Durov, founder and CEO of Telegram, of cooperating with terrorism and placed him on a list of people sought internationally.
Mehdi Sarrami-Far, a science and technology journalist, said that despite Russia’s claim that Ukrainian security and military institutions use Telegram, it also uses this messenger for media and military activities.
He added that this situation is similar to the Islamic Republic, where the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps both uses Telegram and also limits this platform for ordinary users.
