Reuters: U.S. President Donald Trump said that talks between the United States and Iran would be held on Monday, but he declined to set a deadline for reaching an agreement on Tehran’s nuclear program.
Trump said he would prefer a diplomatic solution over a military action and added that “we’ll see how it goes” while expressing optimism that the talks could lead to an agreement.
The talks were announced after he canceled planned attacks against Iran, and the discussions are expected to focus on the nuclear issue and reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
