Reuters, citing a Thai official, reported that the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln will dock in Thailand next week after a prolonged deployment in the Middle East during the war against the Islamic Republic.

Abraham Lincoln left the Middle East on Saturday. According to Democratic lawmakers in the United States, the carrier has not stopped at any port for more than 200 days and has set a contemporary record for the most consecutive days spent at sea.

The Thai official, who asked not to be named, said that Abraham Lincoln will dock in Thailand with about five thousand sailors and Marines for “rest and recreation after a long sea voyage.”

The spokesperson for the Thai Navy did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
