🔶 Reuters: A deadly explosion at a wedding ceremony in southern Iran was likely caused by a direct hit from American-made munitions

Reuters, in an exclusive report, wrote that, based on an analysis by weapons experts that reviewed this news agency’s verified images and videos, the explosion in Khoestak in southern Iran—which led to the deaths of five people and injuries to more than 60 others at a wedding ceremony—was likely caused by a direct hit from American-made munitions.

These experts told Reuters that the extent and type of damage caused matches a “direct hit,” not the secondary damage that would be created by a munition ricocheting or changing course after striking another target.

Three of the four experts who reviewed Reuters’ videos believed that the munitions used were most likely an American weapon and not a diverted air-defense missile from Iran. One of the experts said the fired munition likely missed its intended main target when aiming.
