🔻Residents of areas in southern Lebanon are leaving their homes after Israel’s Saturday attacks that left at least 11 dead.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health says that in an attack on the village of Ansar, seven people, including three children, were killed, and another attack on Deir al-Zahra left four dead and 17 wounded.
Images shared on social media and reports from local media indicate heavy traffic on roads in southern Lebanon following the departure of dozens of families from the Nabatiyeh area.
The Israel Defense Forces said these attacks were carried out in response to Hezbollah’s attack on Israeli forces—an attack that, according to Israel, seriously injured three soldiers. Israel also says that one of Hezbollah’s Radwan Force commanders was killed in the attack on Ansar.
The attacks are among the deadliest since the start of the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah in June.
