🔶 Reports of hearing the sound of an explosion near Qeshm Island

Iranian domestic media, including the state-run news agency IRNA, reported that the sound of an explosion was heard near Qeshm Island.

According to these reports, the source of the sound is likely to have been from the sea, and “no casualties occurred inside the territory of Qeshm Island.”

IRNA also said that “local sources have not commented on this matter so far.”

The news was published while the crisis of the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and the possibility of a resumption of military clashes between the United States and Iran still continue.

In the meantime, U.S. President Donald Trump has announced a three-hour meeting between U.S. representatives and the delegation of the Islamic Republic on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

On Tuesday, September 22 (31 Shahrivar), at the UN General Assembly, the U.S. president said that he would present a “big decision” regarding Iran. Trump emphasized that this decision or agreement would either provide Iran with the opportunity to rebuild and reach a country that is far more powerful, or would lead to its “rapid destruction.”
