👉 Reform Front: People’s vote must shape the country’s policies and direction

Javad Emaam, the spokesperson for Iran’s Reform Front, emphasizing meritocracy and reforming the style of governance, said that an election truly has meaning when people’s votes affect the country’s policies, priorities, and overall direction, and is not limited to merely replacing individuals in positions.

He, criticizing what he called the “common market of power,” said the presence of managers in different governments in itself is not wrong and that experience, expertise, and effectiveness can justify their continued responsibility; however, political, ethnic, family ties, or circles of power should not replace merit.

Imam also stressed the need to separate political positions from the body of experts and said that sidelining specialized forces with changes of governments is damaging.

According to him, healthy governance should be based on people’s vote, managers’ merit, preserving expertise within the administrative system, and setting a clear boundary between politics and running the country.
